Leeds Unit’s social media team mocks Sunderland with a seven-word post following the Illan Meslier incident

Leeds United’s social media team responded quickly to Sunderland’s post from October after Monday night’s game.

The Whites secured a last-minute winner, significantly damaging Sunderland’s automatic promotion hopes at Elland Road.

Sunderland had initially led with a goal from Wilson Isidor, but the second half was completely dominated by the hosts.

The club shared their own photo on X, showing Struijk and Piroe celebrating the winner

while another teammate is lying on the Elland Road pitch.

Leeds United’s social media team accompanied the photo with the caption: “Not really sure what to caption this.”

The post referred to Leeds’ most recent match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this season.

In October, Leeds United’s goalkeeper Illan Meslier made a mistake that resulted in

Alan Browne’s long ball getting past him for an equalizer. Following this incident,

Sunderland humorously shared a video of Meslier’s blunder on X with the caption: “Not really sure what to caption this.”
