Calvert-Lewin, McNeil, Coleman: Everton injury list and return dates as big Ndiaye update emerges
It’s fair to say that David Moyes’ comeback has been a big success for Everton, with both their
fortunes and on-field performances improving dramatically. When Moyes returned to Goodison
Park on January 11, he found a club in dire straits. They were 16th in the rankings, one point ahead
of safety, had the division’s lowest XG of 18.33, and had only won three of their first 19 games.

Fans were well aware of the impact Moyes was capable of having on the team after a successful
11-year run at the club between 2002 and 2013, but few could have predicted just how quickly he
would have the desired impact with 13
Moyes’ club is now 13 points clear of the drop zone and looking forward to a fresh start at the
Bramley-Moore Dock stadium. Despite a performance of remarkable resolution and effort in
last weekend’s 1-0 victory against Crystal Palace, a manager with Moyes’ experience says he is
not stupid enough to believe the storm has passed completely at this stage.
Everton injury round-up
Everton will have at least one returning player for their home game against the Red Devils.
Abdoulaye Doucoure, who was sent out after the Liverpool draw for a confrontation with Curtis
Jones in a dramatic finish to the Merseyside Derby, returns after serving a one-game suspension.
However, full-back Nathan Patterson is still sidelined after missing his third consecutive game
due to a hamstring injury. Following the right-back, Premier Injuries predicts that striker
Youssef Chermiti (thigh) and captain Seamus Coleman (calf) will return in late February.
Meanwhile, experienced strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring) and Armando Broja
(ankle) hope to return in March. Winger Dwight McNeil (knee) will be out until April due to
a longer-term injury, while Orel Mangala will not be able to play again until at least November
following an ACL tear.
According to Liverpool World, Iliman Ndiaye limped off against Liverpool in the first half
and is expected to miss three to ten weeks.
The Senegalese international has been a great inspiration in recent weeks, and his absence puts
even more pressure on reinvigorated striker Beto to maintain his impressive goal-scoring record.
On X, the account @physiocout, which provides football injury analysis, evaluated Ndiaye’s situation.
A message on the account stated: “Iliman Ndiaye will be out for a few weeks due to an MCL injury.
‘Ili has a medial ligament damage. “It doesn’t look good right now,” Moyes stated.
