Gareth Owen has been named Stoke City’s academy technical director.\

The 42-year-old, who has served as the club’s esteemed academy director since 2019,

is making a minor but significant change. His duties will include leading the women’s and first teams,

coordinating the sengior squad and youth setup, and working closely with sporting director Jon Walters.

At every level of the football and off-field personnel, Gareth is a highly esteemed figure. In this next stage of his career,

everyone will be sending him their best wishes. To work with Gareth, we are trying to find a new academy manager,

and we anticipate that we will draw in qualified candidates who are interested in the position.
