John Eustace issues transfer update as he reveals what Derby County need most
Eustace is considering bolstering his squad through the free agent transfer market.
John Eustace has revealed that he will consider the free agent transfer market as he seeks to
inspire a turnaround at Derby County.

Eustace’s debut match in command of the Rams was a 4-0 defeat at QPR in the Championship
on Friday, despite only been appointed 24 hours earlier. They are now in the relegation zone, one
point below Millwall, who visit Pride Park on Saturday (12:30pm).
Derby suffered seven consecutive league defeats under former manager Paul Warne, and while
they strengthened during the January transfer window, Eustace is ready to examine the potential
of further improving his squad with free players.
Speaking after the defeat to QPR at Loftus Road, he said: “It’s something we can definitely consider. Obviously, I’ve had plenty to think about in the previous 24 hours, but that is something we can definitely look into.”
“The most important thing is that this group of players need some guidance,” he told reporters.
“They need both stability and leadership. I’m here now to assist that bunch of players. On Monday,
all of the hard work will begin on the training pitch. You know, you win games when you do Monday through Friday correctly, and I’m really looking forward to working with the team of guys moving ahead.”
