BBC pundit ‘surprised’ by Everton player development he didn’t think was possible
Beto’s current form has been the greatest of his Everton career by far, with the striker finally finding
his footing at Goodison Park.

Beto had only scored four Premier League goals prior to David Moyes’ return to Goodison Park
midway through last month, but has nearly matched that total in just a few games under the Scot.
Thrown into the spotlight as the Toffees’ sole fit striker at the moment, and having lobbied hard for
a return to Serie A during last month’s transfer window, Beto has suddenly become one of the first names on the team sheet.
He is in excellent form, having scored twice against Leicester City and once against Liverpool in a
tense Merseyside Derby in midweek, and he struck again against Crystal Palace.

recent success.

and he was a player who could cause difficulties, but he may not have been a finisher.
“I believed that the impact would have been on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
