
Troy Deeney criticizes Blackburn Rovers for the Derby County and John Eustace incident.
After the head coach left the play-off contenders to join Championship strugglers Derby County, Troy Deeney has jumped to the defense of former manager John Eustace and attacked Blackburn Rovers.
This evening, when the Rams travel to Queens Park Rangers for Championship competition, Eustace will be in command of his first Derby County game.
Having played 75 games with the former midfielder at Watford from 2010 to 2013, Deeney is intimately acquainted with Eustace.

During the 2022–2023 season, Deeney played for Birmingham City under Eustace in addition to sharing the field with Watford.
When Eustace was at Blues, the 36-year-old scored seven goals in 33 Championship games, which is why Deeney still calls his former manager the “gaffer.”
Deeney defended Eustace on talk SPORT after Simon Jordan, a pundit on the radio show, said that the head coach should “sod off” if he no longer wanted to be Blackburn’s manager.
“I know the gaffer well,” he remarked.
