Philippe Clement’s future has been called into doubt several times this season, with the Belgian

currently having what appears to be a small number of supporters.

Waghorn played for the Ibrox club from 2015 to 2017, when he was a fixture in the squad, appearing

57 times and scoring 28 goals.

Rangers send heartfelt message to Martyn Waghorn

Despite the sorrow they’ve experienced this season, the Rangers sent Waghorn a poignant greeting

as he announced his retirement from the game.

Since leaving Glasgow, he has played for Ipswich, Derby and Coventry, but his most recent club is Northampton Town.

However, those days are over, as the striker announced on Instagram (13 February) that he has

decided to retire from the beautiful game and finish his amazing career.

Rangers replied to Waghorn’s message, saying, “Congratulations on your great career, all the best

for the next chapter.”

Philippe Clement needs to turn things around at Ibrox

As previously said, Rangers have had a difficult season, frequently finishing second to their

opponents.

While there have been some victories along the line, such as a 3-0 win against Celtic at the end of

2024 and a 4-1 Europa League win over Nice in November, it appears that these types of outcomes

have become increasingly distant from one another.
