Talks are underway for Leeds United to sell the 27-year-old for £7.5 million less than originally agreed.
But while Daniel Farke, his players, and his coaching staff concentrate on on-field issues,
the club’s management will be planning for summer transfer business. Regardless of how the season ends,
departures and outgoings are inevitable, and Rasmus Kristensen is one player who is likely to leave the team permanently.
According to a report from Bild, Leeds United is in talks to sell him for less than the agreed-upon buy option in his Eintracht Frankfurt loan.
The deal is only worth £5 million, which is significantly less than the £12.5 million buy option negotiated when
Kristensen joined the Bundesliga team in the summer.
The Whites will be keen to get Kristensen off the books permanently should Leeds United return to the
Premier League because they will have been disappointed by his first season in their colors and he hasn’t
played for them since the drop to the Championship. He has started frequently on the right-hand side as a
wing-back or full-back and has also filled in as a right-sided center-back when needed.
LUFC must remain firm As previously mentioned, there may be a desire to get Kristensen off the books this summer,
but considering his performance, it would be strange for Leeds United to accept such a low price.
