Leeds remains at the top of the table following the most recent round of fixtures, as all four teams

won. The Whites easily defeated Watford 4-0 away, before the other three teams faced off on Wednesday.

Sheffield United, Burnley, and Sunderland all won against Middlesbrough, Hull City, and Luton

Town. With 14 games remaining, the promotion race is heating up, and Leeds are presently in the

lead.

However, the next two games will be crucial in determining Leeds’ final standing. They first face Sunderland before travelling to Sheffield United, and Regis Le Bris has already spoken about the impending match.

Regis Le Bris says if Ian Poveda will be available for Sunderland

Ian Poveda has had a rough season since joining Sunderland on a free transfer from Leeds in the summer. The Colombia international has only made five senior appearances for Le Bris’ team.

But it follows a good half-season loan stay at Sheffield Wednesday last season. Poveda did return

in the game before Wednesday’s victory against Luton, coming off the bench for 30 minutes against Watford.

Le Bris said Poveda was unavailable against Luton due to “internal reasons,” but he hopes to face

his old team on Monday night, his first homecoming to Elland Road since leaving Leeds.

“Ian was unavailable for selection. It was excellent news for Jenson because, after a long, long injury,

he was ready,” the Sunderland boss stated. Le Bris was connected with Leeds before Daniel Farke

took command.
