Newcastle United really want Nottingham Forest star who is worth more than £50m

Nottingham Forest will face some uncertainty this summer, as a number of elite players may be considered by rival clubs.

The Reds could qualify for European action in 2025/26, as Forest are now third in the Premier

League table and performing admirably.

Chelsea is interested in signing Murillo this summer. The Blues had a bid rejected for the

Brazilian defender in January, and it appears that they will return for him when the transfer

window reopens at the conclusion of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has expressed interest in Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson. The champions-elect will look for new recruits in the summer, and Arne Slot is said to be a fan of both

Forest players.

Others will be interested, and Newcastle are reportedly mulling a move to capture a key player

who has prospered under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Newcastle made a desperate attempt to sign Elanga in the summer. Forest rejected their offer of

up to £50 million, leaving little time to find a successor during the summer transfer season.

The Carabao Cup finalists have now let Miguel Almiron to leave St James’ Park, and Ben Jacobs

has informed Give Me Sport that they will look for a new right winger in the summer.

He remarked, “Newcastle will definitely recruit a right winger. Place your mortgage on it. They

have to replace Miguel Almiron. Among others, they still admire Nottingham Forest’s Anthony

Elanga.”

Elanga is the fastest player on the Forest squad. He possesses the pace to burn defenders, and he

has been an invaluable asset to Forest in recent weeks with Callum Hudson-Odoi out injured.

absence of the former Chelsea star, Elanga has stepped up and is progressing as a player.

Elanga cost Forest just £15 million from Manchester United. He was often neglected at Old Trafford, and given their current situation, they may wish they had kept him.
