Two minutes after the break, Makhtar Gueye’s stunning volley from inside the box put Rovers
ahead, while West Brom had goals from Adam Armstrong and Will Lankshear called off for a shove
and offside, respectively.
Gueye added a second in the 63rd minute to help Blackburn leapfrog the Baggies into fifth position

Lowe stated: “It’s been a difficult week when you lose your head coach and two assistants.
“But they’ve (the players) been a credit to the team and themselves, especially coming to a city like
this where they don’t lose many games. They dug in and gave it their all.
“It’s been difficult because John, Keith (Downing), and Matt (Gardiner) work hard, and I’m sad to
see them leave.
“It was sad from that perspective, but it’s football. Coaches come and go; this is the game we’re in.
It was challenging, but all of the players and staff remained focused, which was all I could ask for.”
