He was part of Wolves Championship title-winning campaign in 2018 but now he’s playing in the 10th tier.
Since Nuno Espirito Santo led Wolves back to the Premier League in 2018, the past seven years have been a blur.
Under Nuno Espirito Santo, Wolves produced some fantastic football and coasted to the Championship championship with 99 points in that season.
It’s not surprising to see parts of that team do amazing things, especially with 20-year-old Ruben Neves playing key roles in midfield and Diogo Jota displaying a lethal attacking streak.
After six amazing years at Wolves, including back-to-back Europa League campaigns, Neves completed a £44 million transfer to Al Hilal in 2023.
Jota, on the other hand, moved to Anfield in the summer of 2020 and has since established himself as a premier forward at Liverpool.
Although Nuno Santo’s team was full of talented players, one member of their championship-winning squad is currently competing in the lesser non-league leagues.
Ben Marshall, a former Wolves player, is currently playing in the 10th division of English football. In January 2017, Wolves acquired Ben Marshall from Blackburn Rovers, which was considered a superb move for the Championship team at the time.
Marshall, who was 25 at the time, was a thrilling winger to watch after making an impression over two and a half seasons at Ewood Park.
