Gary Neville disagrees with Ian Wright and Roy Keane with Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham’s outcome.
After a thrilling FA Cup victory over Exeter in midweek, Nottingham Forest returns to the Premier League this weekend.
The Reds had to work hard to defeat League One opponents, and after 120 minutes of play,
they needed a penalty shootout to defeat the Grecians after a 2-2 draw. Ibrahim Sangare was eager to play again,
and that game did help him in that regard, as Nuno Espirito Santo was making the changes.
Taiwo Awoniyi broke his nose against Exeter on Tuesday night, so the Nigerian will probably miss this weekend’s trip
to Craven Cottage to play Fulham. The Overlap cast has been sharing their thoughts on the outcome of this weekend’s games,
and Roy Keane and Gary Neville disagreed on Nottingham Forest’s score. The Cottagers are on the verge of earning a spot in the top half of the Premier League, and a victory this weekend would further their hopes. Forest was defeated by Fulham the first time this season back in September, and the Reds will be seeking revenge this weekend. It will be interesting to see how the team looks this weekend. Espirito Santo had to use some of his best players to defeat Exeter, and it is unclear how they bounce back. Forest’s last away Premier League game was a disaster as Bournemouth turned the Reds over 5-0 in a match that threatened to undo the incredible progress the team had made. Getting three points against Fulham would set the tone for Forest’s extremely difficult run of games in the coming weeks.
