Vinicius Junior showing interest in ‘unprecedented and irresistible’ Saudi Pro League offer
According to reports, Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior expressed “interest in the proposals” from the Saudi Pro League,
which could increase his salary to the highest in history.
Saudi Arabia has been interested in Vinicius for more than a year, and even for the oil-rich Gulf state,
the amounts being discussed are extraordinary.
According to MARCA, Vinicius first met with Saudi officials via video call in 2023 for what was described as a “relaxed chat” that lasted only about 15 minutes. I
n addition to the money up for grabs, the player was also offered the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup.
A more formal second meeting is reportedly held in Prague, of all places,
“away from the media spotlight and in neutral territory,” at which point the outrageous figures involved are alleged to have been agreed upon.
The Saudi Pro League would prefer that Vinicius play in Jeddah, which means either Al Ahli or Al Ittihad. Oddly,
there is still no solid idea of the exact club. Al Hilal has typically been rumored because of Neymar’s recent departure,
but the player’s entourage is reportedly telling him how “unprecedented and irresistible” the offer is.
His agent was in Saudi Arabia just last month, and the amount of money involved is making Vinicius at least “consider” his future.
Vini is worried about how it would appear if he accepted the Saudi deal, as he does not want to be perceived as driven by money.
As a result, his representatives are trying to improve the optics.
