Birmingham City is preparing to face promotion hopefuls Charlton Athletic in League One, with Christoph Klarer being assessed due to an injury sustained in Tuesday’s win over Cambridge.

Austrian defender Klarer, who has recently led the Blues, was replaced by Grant Hanley in the

71st minute after collapsing and grabbing his lower back.

The Blues are already without Marc Leonard, Taylor Gardner-Hickman, and Emil Hansson.

Leonardwill be sidelined while the gash in his knee heals, but Gardner-Hickman and Hansson are

not far behind, according to manager Chris Davies.

He stated, “Taylor is coming closer every day, but he’s still a little distance away. Emil Hansson is currently training; perhaps, by next week, he will be fully trained.
