A new Premier League elite could replace Tottenham due to Daniel Levy’s risk-averse approach.
The match between Manchester United and Tottenham on Sunday has not yet taken on the intensity of another
“El Sackico,” as their encounter in October 2021 that marked Nuno Espirito Santo’s demise was known,
but both managers enter the match feeling somewhat pressured.
Ange Postecoglou, Nuno’s most recent replacement in the Spurs dugout, made a strong argument for
himself after his team lost to Aston Villa on Sunday in their second cup match in four days.
The Australian absorbed the fervor of a Traitors contestant begging not to be exiled at the round table.
“If you try to measure [the team] on anything…other than the extraordinary [injury] scenario they’re
dealing with then I think your analysis is skewed and it’s not objective. That’s my opinion,” replied Postecoglou,
who may as well have added, “and that’s why I’m voting for yourself, Minah.”
The United coach, Ruben Amorim, would be doing a terrible job of staying under the radar if he were a Traitors contestant.
He has presided over seven losses in 14 league games and made a string of reckless comments,
such as calling his team the worst “maybe in the history of Manchester United.”
