Leicester City could be given green light to go back in for £12.5m star after being told he can leave
Leicester City could be granted the go-ahead to renew their interest in one of their sister club’s key players. Leicester were fairly quiet in the transfer market, only signing one player last month.
Several names were linked during the window, but they either went unnoticed or were hearsay. One of those targets

appeared to be on his way to West Ham United, but he ended up staying with the Foxes’ sister club, OH Leuven. Now that the window has closed, Leicester may have been given the go-ahead to sign the teenage star, but they must act quickly.
Leicester City transfer news: Ezechiel Banzuzi will be allowed to leave Leuven in the summer
Ezechiel Banzuzi was desired by the Foxes for £12 million in January but appeared to miss out after Monaco and West Ham agreed to sign the 19-year-old. The transfer fell through for a variety of reasons, but the Dutch youth international has remained in the spotlight.
With his stock growing every week, a move away from the Belgian top division seemed imminent, and Leuven, who share ownership with Leicester, have confirmed that Banzuzi will leave in the summer. Gyorgy Csepregi, Leuven’s technical director, told Nieuwsblad: “We agreed with Eze to finish the season.”
“We will absolutely take him to the next level this summer. He’s completely outgrown the competition, right? “He plays on one leg.”
PSR issues prevented Leicester from being aggressive in the recent window, and with those concerns expected to subside in the summer, Banzuzi may resurface on the Foxes’ radar.
