David Moyes returned to Goodison Park earlier this winter, and he has made a strong impression thus far. He was named as Sean Dyche’s replacement as the Merseyside club looks to stay up this season. They will relocate into their new stadium in the summer, ahead of the next season.

Everton defensive woes

Seamus Coleman is out. Everton are still without the right-back due to lingering injury concerns. At this point, it is unclear when he will be able to appear again. He will not be risked, however, and will require time to return to training. Expected return date: February 15, 2025.

Orel Mangala is out. The midfielder has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, which is a setback to the Toffees. He wrote on social media, “Thank you for all of your offers of support – this is difficult news to bear. Believe that with God on my side, I will be back sooner and stronger than before!”

Everton attacking issues

Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja are no longer together. Everton’s director of football, Kevin Thelwell, has confirmed that Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti would return earlier than expected. He stated, “We are aware of the current shortfall in provisions. Three of our best strikers have been injured. We looked long and hard in the transfer window to see if we could get a striker, but those guys are quite expensive.
