Fabio Silva sends message to Nuno Espirito Santo in jab at Wolves bosses
Fabio Silva, a Wolves loanee, has expressed gratitude to Nuno Espirito Santo, his former manager.
By assembling a team that propelled the Old Gold back to the Premier League, Nuno earned his place in Wolves history.
Nuno decided to break Wolves’ record transfer fee in 2020 to bring Silva, then eighteen, from Porto to Molineux. Five years later, Silva has failed to make an impression in England after being tried out by a number of managers in the West Midlands and on loan. The striker recently talked about his career in an interview with The Athletic, making it clear who his favorite Wolves manager was: “The year I spent with Nuno was really good, he was the coach who empowered me and, from the first day, he was very honest with me,” Silva said.
He advised me to wait for my chance and have faith that it will present itself. He was always able to keep me pleased by providing the right phrases. He occasionally approached me and talked to me while I wasn’t playing.
Silva then made a sly swipe at those who taught Nuno after the Portuguese at Wolves over his treatment by saying that he’s “happy” to see him succeeding at Nottingham Forest.
