Everton is prepared to pay £21 million to sign the “Future Ballon d’Or Winner.”

Fichajes claims that Everton is interested in signing Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki during the summer transfer window.

The Toffees are reportedly “preparing an offer” worth €25 million (£20.8 million) for the 21-year-old,

who was linked to a move to the Premier League in January. Cherki’s days at Lyon are “numbered,”

as the French team views the upcoming summer window as their last chance to cash in on their promising starlet.

Given his growing list of admirers, Cherki is unlikely to extend his contract, as he enters the final 12 months of his contract in June.

Cherki’s recent performances for Lyon and his remarkable potential have drawn interest from clubs throughout Europe,

including Everton, according to Fichajes.

The Toffees, who have battled for talent moving forward in recent years, have reportedly identified the

21-year-old as a “key signing” to improve David Moyes’ frontline after the season.

Cherki’s status is being actively watched by rival teams ahead of the summer transfer window,

although Everton is reportedly eager to complete his acquisition “as soon as possible.”

Cherki, hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by EKscouting and a ‘potential Ballon d’Or winner’ by Alex Barker,

has been a mainstay for Lyon this season, contributing 11 assists and six goals in 27 games across all competitions.

Everton has only signed midfielder Carlos Alcaraz on loan during their quiet first transfer window since Moyes’ return.

With up to eight first-team players out of contract and five loanees, the Toffees anticipate a roster change following the season.

While Alcaraz, Armando Broja, and Jesper Lindstrom all have buyout clauses in their loan contracts,

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Ashley Young may be among the big names leaving.
