€28 million Eagles surprised to learn of Crystal Palace’s January offer rejection
The winter transfer window saw a considerable amount of activity from Crystal Palace.
Romain Esse came from Millwall, and Ben Chilwell came from Chelsea. It’s unclear if the Eagles have made much progress on their roster, but it appears like they moved late in the transfer window to get another player.
According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato, the player in question was Strahinja Pavlovic of AC Milan.
Fenerbahce had initially offered to sign the Serbian, but the player was apprehensive about the move. Crystal Palace made a “significant” offer to sign the center-back with two days remaining before the window closes.

Crystal Palace was very certain that they would sign the 23-year-old at that moment. Sergio Conceicao, the manager, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the advisor for Milan, were not persuaded by the sale.
The London club was later notified of a rejection, and the Rossoneri’s response was unexpected.
Pavlovic joined Milan from RB Salzburg in the summer transfer window and has slowly grown in prominence at the San Siro following a tough start to life in Italy.
