Steve Nicol calls Everton’s performance in Bournemouth’s defeat “horrible.”

Steve Nicol criticized a “horrible” moment as Everton lost 2-0 to Bournemouth in the FA Cup at Goodison Park. The Toffees gave up an early opportunity against Andani Iraola’s team before the visitors scored from the penalty spot through Antoine Semenyo, and Daniel Jebbison doubled the lead following a defensive blunder. James Tarkowski struggled in the competition’s fourth round, giving away the spot kick and misplacing the pass for the second goal. David Moyes was unable to extend the Blues’ winning streak after three straight Premier League titles.

Iraola’s players pounced on the blunder, and Jordan Pickford couldn’t do much about Jebbison’s shot after saving the first attempt.

Speaking on ESPN on February 8, Nicol stated: “Tarkowski’s attempt at a pass was terrible. All Bournemouth has done in the first half is capitalize on any errors. Pickford’s a little unlucky there. Gets the first block but can’t do anything about the second one from Jebbison.”James Tarkowski struggles against Bournemouth
Given that Tarkowski hasn’t had the best of seasons at Everton, it wouldn’t be shocking if he were fired in the next games.

After Sean Dyche barely gave the young defender any playing time, Jake O’Brien has finally found his way into the starting lineup.
