Following Paul Warne’s dismissal, Derby County names an interim manager.

The responsibility of preventing Derby County from suffering their eighth consecutive loss when they visit

Norwich City tomorrow at 3pm has been given to Matt Hamshaw.

Paul Warne was fired this afternoon, and the Rams’ first team coach has been appointed as the team’s interim manager.

According to the Derby County website, “He will be supported by the current backroom staff,

including first team goalkeeper coach Andy Warrington, assistant under-18 coach Bradley Johnson,

and under-21s lead coach Jake Buxton.”

In September 2022, Hamshaw, 43, joined Warne from his local team, Rotherham United,

to Pride Park following a playing career that included a

numerous lower league teams, such as Macclesfield Town, Notts County, Mansfield Town,

and Sheffield Wednesday.”It is with regret that Derby County have decided to relieve Paul Warne of his position,

” read a statement announcing Warne’s termination.

“Paul is a man of great integrity and embodies the values we hold important at Derby County,”

said club owner David Clowes. His role in gaining promotion to the Championship is something

that no supporter should ever forget. I most definitely won’t.
