The club is in just their third season back in the top flight, and they are having an incredible run of

form with 14 wins, 5 losses, and 4 draws in the 2024–25 season. This success can be attributed to

the club’s smart signings and effective player management. After several windows of a scatter-gun approach, Forest kept their cards close to the chest in January.

However, Nottingham Forest still hasn’t decided on the future of four players whose contracts are

set to expire at the end of the

2024–25 season.

Because keeping important players in their team was their top concern, Forest enjoyed a rather

quiet January transfer window. Some of the club’s most important players, like Chris Wood and

Murillo, have successfully secured new contracts.

A few players’ contracts are about to expire in the summer, even if it appears the team has

everything covered. We examine the four players whose futures at the club are still up in the air

below.

1. Ola Aina

Although his current contract has an automatic one-year extension clause that the club can activate, it is scheduled to expire again this summer. According to reports, Forest is eager to keep him past that point and is likely to use this option.

It’s important to remember, though, that no official agreement has yet been made. Aina might leave as a free agent if the team doesn’t move fast to keep him on after this season.

2. Harry Toffolo

3. Willy Boly

4. Wayne Hennessey
