Eight players, including former Newcastle United and Derby County players, who were unable to leave Preston North End in January but might this summer
PNE’s mid-season transfer window is now closed.
Predictions have already been made that this summer may be the busiest time of year for Preston North End.
In an interview with the Lancashire Post this week, the PNE director hinted that,
considering the loan players returning to their parent clubs and the contracts not being renewed at North End,
there might be as many as ten new additions made at Deepdale. In light of this,
which players might be traded following the 2024–2025 campaign? A variety of players are now on loan,
fringe players, and those nearing the end of their contracts at Deepdale.
Despite being in the last few months of his contract, PNE’s goalie has been the team’s first choice
for the past two and a half years. It will be interesting to watch what happens for Woodman because
there has been conflicting talk over the goalkeeper’s future. Although there are some uncertain futures among
North End’s team, it is highly anticipated that Bauer will leave. Although he was supposed to last summer,
an additional year was ultimately triggered. This season, the German has not appeared in the first team photo.
Whatmough, Jack
Despite being committed until 2026, the defender hasn’t been able to consistently make the squad.
If Ryan Porteous does well on loan, there would be no need for a permanent transfer.
