Derby County: Following a contract exchange with David Clowes, Chris Kirchner is scheduled to formally assume ownership.

Administrators Quantuma stated in a statement early on Tuesday that the transaction is expected to be finalized by February 31; however, the purchase of Derby is still “subject to that agreement” and there is still no agreement with former owner David Clowes over the sale of Pride Park.

The most recent development is that the American is now paying for Derby’s operations, which is important for the club’s immediate growth.

Nevertheless, the sale of Pride Park and the acquisition of Derby are still “subject to that agreement” and are not yet subject to an agreement with former owner David Clowes. Kirchner has the option to back out of his aspirations to purchase the team if no stadium deal is reached.

Quantuma stated in an early Tuesday announcement that the deal is expected to be finalized by February 31. They have set three deadlines with Kirchner, and the first two have been missed.

According to a Quantuma representative, “the joint administrators can confirm they have exchanged contracts for the sale of the business and assets of the club with preferred bidder, Chris Kirchner.”
Furthermore, as a sign of his continued dedication to ensuring the club’s long-term survival, the joint administrators can attest that Mr. Kirchner is providing funds for the club during the time between exchange and completion.

“Everyone has experienced trauma during this time, and I can honestly say that I hope this is the most challenging transaction I have to finish in a very long time.

“I want to thank all of you for your support and good thoughts during this journey. I am very thrilled to be a Ram, and tomorrow marks the beginning of a new journey with you.
