Coventry v Leeds preview: ‘New kick-off time, Team news, how to watch, prediction
Leeds United turn their attention back to Championship action on Wednesday night with an away encounter against Coventry City.
Off the back of their 7-0 hammering of Cardiff City, a trip to the Coventry Building Society Arena beckons on 5 February with the Whites looking to extend their advantage at the top.
Daniel Farke’s side sit five points clear of third and fourth but just two points above second-placed Sheffield United, and given the frustrations of the transfer window, a win may be a necessity.
Preview
The Whites enter the fixture sitting pretty at the top of the table having enjoyed a successful campaign so far, but there is still a long way to go from now until the end of the campaign.
Frustrations as a result of their lack of transfer business may linger for a short while, but a win on Wednesday will do plenty to remedy those concerns and potentially send Leeds five points clear of Sheffield United.
Their last match was a demolition job of Cardiff City, and huge amounts of momentum will come from that result that will put them in good stead heading into this one.
As for the hosts, after a slow start to the campaign, Coventry have picked up the pace a little bit and find themselves with a real chance of finishing inside the top six, with just three points separating them and West Brom.
A win for them will be just as important, if not more so than Leeds, who will need to be on top of their game to come away with victory.

Team News for Coventry City v Leeds United
The hosts have several injury concerns of their own heading into the game, although none of them are a surprise.
Ben Sheaf is still sidelined, with Haji Wright and Ephron Mason-Clark both joining him in the treatment room. The trio are rather unlikely to have any involvement in the clash.
As for the Whites, they were boosted by the return of Pascal Struijk for the victory against Cardiff and there’s a real possibility that he is brought back into the starting lineup for this one, though Joe Rodon and Ethan Ampadu are perhaps the most likely to start.
Patrick Bamford remains sidelined and, having made no new signings in the transfer window, no debuts are on the cards.
Predicted Lineups
Coventry: Dovin, Latibeaudiere, Thomas, Kitching, Van Ewijk, Grimes, Allen, Rudoni, Bidwell, Simms, Thomas-Asante
Leeds: Meslier, Bogle, Rodon, Ampadu, Firpo, Tanaka, Rothwell, James, Aaronson, Solomon, Piroe
Where to watch
Leeds’ encounter with Coventry will not be broadcast anywhere in the UK, but supporters can tune in to BBC Radio Leeds for match coverage.
Prediction: Coventry 1-2 Leeds United
This one will not be anywhere near as plain sailing as the encounter with a rather poor Cardiff City, but it’s still one Leeds should be capable of winning.
With the level of quality they have in the squad, games like this are simply must-win if they are to maintain their momentum as well as their place at the summit.
It could be an edgy affair but certainly one where they can come away with all three points.
