BREAKING NEWS: Marcus Rashford leaves Aston Villa as Man Utd outcast takes on a new approach
Reports suggest that Marcus Rashford is hesitant to remain at Aston Villa permanently once his loan deal concludes.
After losing his place in the team at Manchester United, the forward will finish the rest of the campaign at Villa Park. He announced shortly before the January transfer window opened that he wanted to pursue a ‘fresh challenge’ away from Old Trafford, and his wish was granted.
It was reported that Rashford had a phone conversation with Unai Emery before making the decision to join Villa, who have an option to purchase him for approximately £40 million in the summer.
It has been asserted, though, that he is hesitant to pledge to a permanent change. As reported by TEAMtalk, the 27-year-old might leverage his loan move as a ‘stepping stone’ to another destination next season.
According to the report, Rashford has a strong interest in playing overseas and would prefer to join a foreign club over extending his time at Villa Park. Rumors suggest that preparations for a transfer are underway, with interest from multiple top teams.
Before Villa showed interest, Barcelona had connections with Rashford, but their financial difficulties reportedly complicated matters. It is uncertain whether the Catalan giants will be contenders to sign him when bidding resumes in the summer. A return to United seems unlikely, as reports indicate that Rashford probably won’t play for the Red Devils again. His relationship with Amorim is said to be ‘completely broken’ because of how the Portuguese manager has treated him. Only time will reveal where Rashford will end up next season, as he has plenty of time to find a new home before his Villa spell concludes.
