Just In: Once the ‘Done Deal’ at Goodison Park is complete, Everton still wants to sign someone.

Journalist Graeme Bailey claims that Everton has finalized a deal for midfielder Carlos Alcaraz and is still looking for a striker.

Even though they are now nine points clear of the relegation zone after three straight victories,

the Toffees are trying to bolster their roster in order to increase their chances of surviving in the Premier League.

The Argentine’s loan move to Goodison Park was actually revealed by Flamengo, his parent club, last week.

Although Everton has not yet made an official statement, Bailey has given an update, saying that the deal is

finalized and that the Merseysiders may acquire a striker.

Alcaraz, who previously signed with Southampton, will in fact be playing English football for the second time.

He signed with Flamengo last summer after making enough of an impression to win a loan move to Juventus.

In the meantime, Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s most recent injury is undoubtedly related to Everton’s desire for a striker.

Given his past injury history, it would be foolish to think that there won’t be any further issues, but he might be out until March.

Armando Broja, who was loaned from Chelsea during the summer, is also on the books at Everton,

and stand-in striker Beto scored twice in Saturday’s 4-0 thumping of Leicester City.

However, Moyes seems eager to introduce an alternative before tonight’s 11 p.m. deadline.
