
Just In: For an undisclosed sum, Norwich City has signed Ruairi McConville from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Ruairi McConville, a center defender from Brighton & Hove Albion of the Premier League,
has officially joined Norwich City.
The 19-year-old has a deal with the team that will last until the summer of 2030 and joins for an unknown cost.
He’ll be wearing shirt number 15.
Prior to joining Brighton in 2021, McConville played for Linfield during his formative years. In the Emirates FA Cup,
the defender just earned his senior debut for the Seagulls, coming on as a substitute against Norwich.
He had previously played in a UEFA Nations League triumph over Belarus in November 2024,
marking his senior international debut for Northern Ireland.
“I’m very excited,” McConville stated as he joined the club. Right now, I think it’s the best course of action for me.
“After talking to Johannes (Hoff Thorup) and watching his play, I can say that we share the same
aspirations and are both ambitious. Working with him excites me, and I hope we can return to the Premier League.”
