Harry Kane stuurt een transferwaarschuwing naar Mathys Tel vanwege de belangstelling van Manchester United
Kane has urged Mathys Tel to sign for a team that can offer him “game time and experience” as he backed the forward for a successful career away from Bayern Munich.
Tel, 19, looks set to leave Bayern Munich this month, with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United all linked with a move for the forward.
Tel rejected a move to Spurs last weekend despite the north London outfit agreeing a £50m deal with Bayern for the forward, who has started just three Bundesliga games this term.
On Sunday, though, Fabrizio Romano claimed that United and Arsenal were in contact with Tel’s agent about a potential move to the Premier League.
Romano claims that Tel would be open to a move to either club as Cristiano Ronaldo and Theirry Henry were his idols when growing up.
But just hours before Romano spoke of potential interest from United and Arsenal, Kane urged Tel to carefully consider his options if he is to leave the Allianz Arena this month.
Speaking to reporters after Saturday’s 4-3 win over Holstein Kiel, Kane said: “Mathys is a great young player. I’ve worked with him for 18 months. He has a lot of potential, works & trains hard. He can still improve, but he has the right mindset.
“My advice is wherever he goes, he should make sure he gets game time and experience.”
Tel leaving Munich before Monday’s transfer deadline isn’t a foregone conclusion, though, with sporting director Christoph Freund admitting that the forward could still be a Bayern player on Tuesday.
“There has been a lot going on with the boy in the last few days – he is only 19 years old,” Freund told Sky Sports Germany. “Yesterday we decided together with him that his head is full and that it therefore makes no sense for him to be in the squad today. But that doesn’t mean anything.
“It’s quite possible that he’ll still be a Bayern Munich player on Tuesday.
“He’s undecided. There’s been a lot going on with him in the last few days and he should now take his time to think things through.”
