Everton agree Armstrong terms as medical due to start imminently
Harrison Armstrong will sign a new contract at Everton before signing for Derby County on loan, according to John Percy.
The Telegraph journalist reported via his X account [3 February] that the 18-year-old’s medical is due to start shortly ahead of a move to Pride Park, joining the Championship club until the end of the season.
Armstrong has just six first-team appearances to his name so far, with three of those coming as a substitute in the Premier League this season, but he is set to leave Goodison Park imminently.

The midfielder looks to be an extremely exciting talent but with limited chances in the first team at Goodison Park, a six-month loan looks to be the best option for him.
With the Rams currently attempting to secure safety in the Championship, sitting two points inside the relegation zone after 30 matches, it will be an incredible opportunity for the player.
Supporters will, undoubtedly, be keeping an eye on the loanee as he continues to develop in the Championship, much like other Premier League teams are doing with their own youngsters.
Although Orel Mangala and Dwight McNeil are long-term absentees for David Moyes, it is still no surprise to see the 18-year-old moving away before the transfer window slams shut.
If all goes well at Pride Park in the second half of the season, he might be able to return ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and make an impact in the middle of the park on Merseyside.
He is very versatile, able to play anywhere in midfield, but now is not the time to throw a youngster into the situation as the Toffees attempt to move further away from the relegation dogfight.
It will certainly be a dream of his to become a regular for the Toffees and he can take an important step towards that by putting his all into his loan move to Derby.
