Celtic reach verbal agreement to sign Jeffrey Schlupp
Celtic are getting close to signing Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp in the final hours of the January transfer window. According to Fabrizio Romano, Brendan Rodgers will be able to reinforce his team in the final hours of the transfer season now that Celtic have struck a verbal agreement to sign Schlupp from Palace.
According to Romano, Celtic have agreed to recruit the 32-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season. The Bhoys will not have a buy option.
Schlupp is a very skilled athlete who has participated in numerous games for both Crystal Palace and Leicester City. He has made more than 245 appearances for Palace since joining in the January 2017 transfer window.
He has a ton of expertise and led Leicester to the 2015–16 Premier League championship. A talented player, the former Ghanaian international can play forward, left flank, central midfield, and left back.
Over his career, he has scored 40 goals. Schlupp will become a free agent in the summer after having just a few months left on his current Selhurst Park contract.
