DONE DEAL: Luke Supyk has confirmed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Stoke City.

According to sources that spoke to Football Insider, Stoke City has made a proposal for Luke Supyk, a striker for the Wellington Phoenix.

As the New Zealand club’s fastest player, the 18-year-old is regarded as one of the A-League’s future emerging talents.

Supyk made his debut for the Phoenix in the 2023–24 season and has since made four appearances this season.

During last year’s successful Oceania Under-20 Championship campaign, the teenager, who is an Under-20 international for New Zealand, scored twice (2024).

After rising through the youth ranks, he has made ten appearances for Wellington Phoenix at the senior level in all competitions.

The forward, who was born in 2006, has a deal in New Zealand that runs through June 2026.

Supyk is able to play on both flanks and lead the line.

Following Tom Cannon’s recall, Stoke has already strengthened their senior hitting options this month by bringing in 22-year-old Ali Al-Hamadi on loan from Ipswich.

With the Potters battling to avoid relegation to League One, Josh Wilson-Esbrand has also joined on loan from Man City.

Narcis Pelach and Steven Schumacher were previously fired this season, and Mark Robins was brought in earlier this month.

On Saturday, February 1, Stoke, who are now in 20th place and two points above the Championship drop zone, will play relegation rivals Hull City.

In other news, QPR, Swansea, Stoke, and Sunderland are vying for a Celtic star.
