Just In: Craig Dawson wants to rejoin West Ham while Wolves decide whether to sell him.

According to TBR Football, West Ham United is considering re-signing Craig Dawson from Wolves in order to increase their defense alternatives.

Dawson is reportedly top on the list to return to the London Stadium, according to the news outlet’s story from January 31. Graham Potter traveled to Aston Villa last Sunday, January 26, leaving Max Kilman as the only available center defender. After serving his sentence, Konstantinos Mavropanos is back to playing, but the Hammers need another defensive boost. Dawson finished his previous successful tenure in East London by winning the Conference League trophy under David Moyes.

In 2022, Moyes said of Dawson (via Hammers.News, 15 April 2022) that he “wowed” him with his tenacity, and given the expectations for his comeback, Potter probably feels the same way.

Wolves will determine whether West Ham can get Dawson back.
After moving from Watford to the London Stadium, where he was hailed as a surprisingly robust choice at the heart of the defense, Dawson is probably amenable to returning. However, the 34-year-old’s future is dependent on his present team, Wolves, whose contract expires in the summer. Due to minor ailments, he hasn’t played much in recent weeks.
