Just In: Alan Sugar on The Apprentice makes a vicious jab at Karren Brady about West Ham.
When the Apprentice returned to television last night, Alan Sugar couldn’t help
but make fun of Karren Brady and West Ham United.
Brady, the vice-chairman of the Hammers, is one of Lord Sugar’s consultants on the
popular BBC One show, and the former Tottenham owner frequently takes aim at the Irons.
Sugar joked about West Ham in the boardroom during the last scene of the
Apprentice’s season premiere (30 January, 45:30).
According to Lord Sugar, “it’s very synergistic to football, for example, you go in at half-time three nil down.”
“You’re used to that, aren’t you?” he asked, turning to face Brady.
West Ham United must turn things around.
Even though the Hammers aren’t currently in the relegation race in the Premier League, they might be in trouble if they can’t bring in a few new players by February 3rd.
Even though some of the players he added over the summer, such Aaron Wan-Bissaka, benefited the squad, it still seems like much more could have been added during their summer window. Julen Lopetegui was the wrong hire at the beginning of the season.
It’s a little concerning that Potter hasn’t brought in any new players as we approach the end of January, especially considering how weak they are at the number nine position.
The Hammers must begin to make changes if they don’t want to be pulled into the relegation fight; else, they risk being left behind.
In other West Ham news, Tim Steidten may be the next senior behind-the-scenes player to leave the Hammers.
