Under Philippe Clement, the Moroccan tactician assumes a pivotal position at Ibrox.

An important milestone in Issame Charaï’s coaching career has been reached with his formal arrival at Rangers as Philippe Clement’s new assistant coach. The announcement was made on January 29, 2025, following the club’s confirmation of his hiring, which allowed Charaï to contribute his coaching expertise to the storied Scottish football team.

Charaï, who was Liam Rosenior‘s assistant coach at RC Strasbourg, has garnered attention for his incredible tenure with Morocco’s under-23 squad as well as his club appearances. The Morocco Cup of Nations U23 championship was won by the Moroccan U23 team under his direction, solidifying his standing as a skilled tactician who prioritizes dynamic play and excellent team cohesiveness.

As the Rangers get ready for the rest of the season, especially with crucial games approaching, the 42-year-old coach is anticipated to make a substantial contribution to Clement’s plan. Charaï has already supervised his first training session with the team, according to reports from Belgian writer Sacha Tavolieri. This shows how urgent Rangers’ goal is to bolster their coaching staff.

There is hope that Charaï’s combination of early coaching expertise and new perspectives from his time at Strasbourg and with the Moroccan youth national team would benefit Clement. Rangers’ future will be closely monitored as they work toward their goals and use this new alliance to fulfill their footballing ambitions.
