Sky Sports: Rangers backroom figure quits seven months after signing, replacement lined up
According to Sky Sports, Philippe Clement lost Andries Ulderink from his Rangers backroom
staff.

On Wednesday, January 29, at 3:14 p.m., the broadcaster revealed on their live transfer blog t
hat Ulderink had departed the Light Blues only seven months after joining because of a “family situation.”
The Premiership powerhouses are expected to appoint Issame Charai as Clement’s new first
assistant manager, while he has returned to the Netherlands.
Andries Ulderink leaves Philippe Clement backroom staff at Rangers
Prior to the 2024–25 season, Ulderink joined Rangers after leaving his position as Royal Antwerp’s assistant manager.
But he seems to have already been compelled to return to the Netherlands.
Even if the Gers have not yet acknowledged the information, astute fans have already noted his disappearance from the dugout in recent weeks.
Given that Charai is rumoured to have participated in a training session as a member of Clement’s coaching staff, Ulderink may have passed away at Auchenhowie.
Thus, barely seven months after joining Rangers, the 55-year-old has ended his affiliation with the
team.
Charai, meanwhile, began the season as a member of Strasbourg’s coaching staff before being enticed
to Glasgow.
Clement is most likely not leaving anytime soon, as the Belgian-Moroccan coach [Sacha Tavolieri]
is expected to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Light Blues.
What kind of influence Charai can have behind the scenes at Ibrox is still up in the air.
Meanwhile, Clement will be hoping to finish the season without any further exits of this nature.
