JUST IN: Stoke City’s prospects of securing a transfer deal with Liverpool are becoming more apparent and favorable.

In a last-ditch effort to provide Mark Robins with a team that can escape the Championship relegation zone,

Stoke City is seeking to add up to FOUR new players before the transfer window closes.

Since Robins was hired, Stoke has had a terrible run of only one league victory in 15 games,

including back-to-back 0-0 draws at home against Oxford and Plymouth, two other struggling teams.

The team knows that relegation is a very real possibility this season.

The departure of top scorer Tom Cannon, who was recalled by Leicester and later sold to Sheffield United,

scarcely boosted their chances, and even after signing Ali Al-Hamadi on loan from Ipswich, they still need another striker.

Brandon Thomas-Asante of Coventry has long been admired by the Potters, but according to TEAMtalk, Jayden Danns of Liverpool is more likely to make the move.

Other teams are interested in the 19-year-old, but Stoke is giving Lewis Koumas, another young player from Liverpool, consistent playing time and is in a strong negotiating position after communicating with the Reds for several weeks. Danns is amenable to moving to the Potteries as well.

However, there are other players Stoke wants to add before the deadline on Monday, including seasoned Championship players, so Danns is by no means the only one.
