A new date for the Steel City derby has been set for Sheffield Wednesday vs. Sheffield United.
The second Steel City derby of the season between Sheffield Wednesday and
Sheffield United has been moved.
Wednesday will be out for revenge after losing to the Blades 1-0 in their last encounter,
but they’ll now have to wait that little bit longer to try and take back bragging rights – although only by a day.
Both teams made their announcements on Wednesday afternoon, and the game
will now start early on Sunday rather than Saturday.
The Owls have stated that their Championship Steel City rivalry against
Sheffield United has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 16. “The Hillsborough match,
which was originally set to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, will instead begin at
12:30 p.m. the following day… Details about the tickets will be released when they are ready.

When the two legendary teams face up in South Yorkshire again in a few months, Danny Röhl will be looking to alter that. Wednesday hasn’t hosted United at Hillsborough since a 0-0 draw in 2019 and haven’t defeated them there since 2012.
The Owls’ lone broadcast game currently scheduled is their trip to Burnley on February 21st, which will be on ESPN. However, it is quite likely that the derby will be one of their games chosen in March when the English Football League announces those games.
