Prior to the January transfer window closing next week, Nottingham Forest seems to be stepping

up their efforts to acquire new players.

To bring to the City Ground, the Reds are searching for attacking players. The team is working to

bring in someone because Evangelos Marinakis wants them to be well-stocked in the last third.

Forest has been connected to Matheus Cunha. It is quite improbable that Wolves will approve a deal because they are involved in a relegation battle and moved into the relegation zone over the weekend.

Forest is also interested in another striker from the Premier League. Jamie Redknapp, meanwhile, believes that Yoane Wissa may cost the team £40 million, which again seems like a difficult deal to make.

Before the deadline, additional players are being considered, even though attackers are the norm.

It will be difficult for Forest to bring one long-term aim to the club this month, but he seems to still

be on the radar.

Nottingham Forest want Douglas Luiz

The Brazilian does have the vibe that he will be sought for the next week. Only in the summer did

Luiz leave Aston Villa for Juventus, and the Old Lady had to pay £42 million to acquire him.

The Daily Mail claims that Forest is attempting to sign Luiz prior to the transfer deadline. Though Chelsea, Manchester United, and Fulham are also interested, Manchester City has the advantage.

Last season at Aston Villa, Luiz was a complete revelation. For the first time in many years, he helped

the team qualify for the Champions League with a fantastic top-four result.
