‘Very important’ – Injury news for Brighton star before Nottingham Forest game following 23-match absence
Fabian Hurzeler emphasizes that seasoned midfielder James Milner is making a strong effort to return to the first team.
The ex-Liverpool player was in the starting lineup for the season’s first three Premier League games, but he picked up a serious hamstring injury in the 1–1 match against Arsenal last August.
Since then, Milner (39) has not been seen, and his return still seems distant as Brighton, currently in ninth place, gears up to contend for a European spot in the latter half of the season.
“He comes in daily and is working on his rehabilitation,” Hurzeler stated before the 1-0 defeat to Everton last Saturday. “He’s trying to return to the pitch as soon as he can.
