Rangers set to agree new three-year deal with exit-linked player
Ibrox are set to reach a three-year contractual agreement with midfielder Findlay Curtis,
according to Scott Burns.
The Scottish Express Sport journalist reported on 27 January that talks appear to be heading in the
right direction to keep the 18-year-old at Ibrox for the foreseeable future.
Curtis made his senior debut against Fraserburgh and also came off the bench to feature against
Manchester United.
Burns wrote on X: “Rangers are set to agree a new 3 year deal with talented teenager Findlay Curtis.
The midfielder who made his debut against Fraserburgh and came on against Manchester United.”
Rangers must now give Findlay Curtis more first-team opportunities
It is probable that a lot of the discussions surrounding the new contract were contingent on the midfielder’s
game time.
In his fledgling senior career, he has already shown that he’s capable of being on the first-team scene even though he’s not yet ready to start games.
Curtis is someone who the fans will instantly get behind as they love a success story from the academy and that can only be a good thing for the teenager and the club.
Hopefully, there are no more last-minute twists and the 18-year-old can put pen to paper on a new deal at Ibrox.
He even was linked with an exit but it’s understood the club will not be loaning him out in the January transfer window. [Rangers Review, 25 January]
Fans will be optimistic that Curtis can go on and achieve great things for the Ibrox outfit in the coming years.
