O’Brien signs: The ideal Stoke City starting lineup after the transfer window ends
Under newly hired manager Mark Robins, Stoke City will be looking to add players in
the January transfer window in an attempt to lift the team out of the relegation zone in
the second half of the season. Robins was previously the manager of Coventry.
Robins undoubtedly wants to add more of his own players to a team that is shallow in most areas,
but the Potters have been quiet on the transfer front thus far this month as the window closes.
Due to their issues with profit and sustainability (PSR) and financial fair play (FFP) regulations,
Stoke has taken steps to recall Lewis Baker and Nathan Lowe from their respective loan
stints at Blackburn Rovers and Walsall. However, it is anticipated that the majority of
their January business will occur closer to the early February deadline.
Football League World has selected Stoke’s ideal starting lineup once the transfer
window closes and all of their injured players are healthy again.
They are still very much in the midst of a relegation battle right now,
but a few wise additions could be enough to lift them out of the
bottom three as the 2024–25 season progresses.
