Derby County and Brighton’s €50 million transfer now feels prominent before the February 3 deadline.

A year and a half after the original transfer drama involving all three parties, Cashin, a key component of Paul Warne’s plans at Derby, has been the target of a bid from Brighton & Hove Albion this winter. If Saturday is any indication, the center-back may be set to depart his boyhood club.

However, the Rams might have significant issues as the season draws to a close because Cashin is probably going to leave the team and Derby doesn’t have much time to replace him.
