Sunderland beat out three English clubs to capture free agent Willian on a two-year contract.

Willian, a former midfielder for Chelsea and Arsenal, has returned to the UK by plane.

As he prepares to make a choice regarding his future, the Brazilian is now evaluating offers from three English clubs.

Willian’s Olympiacos contract was terminated, making him a free agent.

Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer specialist, made this revelation on Thursday through his X account.

With over three English clubs eager to sign him right away, Willian has just arrived in London to meet with his agents and weigh his choices, Romano wrote.

“He is ready for a new chapter and is available as a free agent after leaving Olympiacos.”

In his 11 games while in Greece, the 36-year-old only made three starts.

Willian made 31 Premier League games, scored four goals, and provided two assists during his time with Fulham last season.

He couldn’t agree on the terms of a new contract, therefore he left Craven Cottage.

But since leaving West London, he has had trouble getting into games and has experienced injury problems, which has raised questions about his fitness.
