Stoke City’s loan acquisition of English football player Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Chelsea has been praised by Peter Crouch.
Stoke City’s new number nine, Ali Al-Hamadi, is on loan until the end of the current campaign.
In order to cover for 11-goal Tom Cannon, who was recalled by Leicester last week and sold to Sheffield United for about £10 million, the 22-year-old striker was acquired from Ipswich Town.
After an explosive debut season with AFC Wimbledon, he has spent the past 12 months at Portman Road. The Iraqi international has been utilized off the bench in the top tier and contributed to the team’s promotion to the Premier League with a few crucial goals.
The Championship has shown a lot of interest, and a transfer to West Brom was canceled at the last minute, allowing Stoke to complete their second January acquisition. Josh Wilson-Esbrand, a left-back on loan from Manchester City, made his Portsmouth debut in the middle of the week, while Mark Robins’ team recalled Nathan Lowe and Lewis Baker from loan.
“Getting Ali over the line is a significant boost for us all,” stated Sporting director Jon Walters, who had visited Ipswich a few weeks prior to see how Al-Hamadi was doing. “Strikers with real pedigree are one of the hardest commodities to secure in any transfer window.”
We are happy that he has chosen to join Stoke City, even though we are aware that other teams have shown a great deal of interest.
