Sheffield Wednesday facing transfer competition for Nottingham Forest striker
According to a report, Sheffield Wednesday may have to contend with Watford for the services of Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis.
According to Alan Nixon’s Patreon account, the Hornets are considering a move for Dennis. The
players’ experience with the Hertfordshire club may give the 27-year-old, who has already spent two stints at Vicarage Road, an advantage over the Owls.
The Star claimed on Friday that Wednesday was interested in Dennis. It now appears that a striker
will be on the table with the confirmation of Shea Charles’ return to Hillsborough. Danny Rohl
believes that a forward might make the difference between them making the playoffs and not, and
he wants a player to bring “something special” in the last third.
The Nigerian international is among the first names to be linked, although he is one of many
forward players that Wednesday is examining. Prior to Watford’s involvement, Owls writer Alex
Miller asserted that if they made him a top target, a transfer would be “tricky” to execute, with clubs
in England and outside showing interest.
