Paul Warne issues Derby County transfer update as triple deal targeted
With the Rams looking to bolster their roster, DerbyshireLive’s latest Derby County news gives you
the head coach’s thoughts.
Derby County needs “something different,” according to Paul Warne, and increasing goal threat is
one of his top concerns.
Lars-Jorgen Salvesen, who arrived from Viking FK, is the only addition the Rams head coach has
made this January.
With Curtis Nelson sidelined for the season due to an ACL injury, Derby is expecting to finalise a
centre-back signing in the next few days.
However, before the window closes on February 3, the squad also wants to add goals, and a winger
and a midfielder are on the list.
“I have been saying for a while that we need a goal threat,” Warne stated following the Cardiff loss
on Saturday. It might come from a ten or an eight. Indeed, we require more goal threat.
That’s what we’ll try to accomplish. We must use the window to bolster the team because we also have problems at centre-back.
By the way, the dressing room also requires it. Lars, a new player you brought in, has improved the situation. Boys desire competition. Although it’s a terrible thing to say, as a player who is not in your position, you want to see better guys in the locker room.
Behind the scenes, everyone is putting a lot of effort into reinvesting in the team to give them a
stronger advantage. Every week, we’re asking the same people to come. We do require a change,
and hopefully that will occur within the next several days.
