‘Gutless’ Man United tipped to suffer Fulham woe
Before their trip to Fulham, the commentators aren’t confident in Manchester United.
Manchester United, led by Ruben Amorim, defeated Rangers 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday night, overcoming some ticketing controversy.
Despite the manager’s efforts to downplay them during the week, Amorim’s remarks following their
3-1 loss to Brighton dominated the headlines, casting a shadow over them as they go to Fulham.
To make sure that Amorim’s remarks stick and that the recent run of success against Liverpool,
Arsenal, and Southampton isn’t written off as an exception, a win here is crucial.
However, they continue to exist in the imaginations of the commentators, who lack faith in United.
Chris Sutton
“I was completely gutless last week, going for Manchester United to draw with Brighton,” the BBC
Sport analyst stated.
“I attribute it to the negative feedback I receive on social media whenever I forecast a United defeat, which affects me and impairs my judgement. This will not happen again.
“I ignored my instinct that Brighton is a superior team versus United. Fulham makes me feel the
same way, and I won’t ignore it.
Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has somewhat recanted his statement that his
club was “possibly the worst” United team ever after they lost to Brighton, saying he was talking
more about himself.
